Job Summary

Are you a strategically minded and tactically skilled finance executive?  Then we may be looking for you!

We are currently seeking a Regional Assistant Vice-President who will be responsible for leading the implementation of our strategies, processes and disciplines to achieve our financial and client objectives as well as provide leadership to a team of financial specialists.

This opportunity will require you to build strong client relationships within a dedicated geographical region with our client base: the education community.  The education community primarily includes members of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF/FEESO), the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA), the Elementary Teachers Federation (ETFO) employee groups and some members of Ontario Universities plus their family members.

  • are able to establish and maintain financial planning practice standards

  • have the ability to develop programs to help Financial Planners & Financial Advisors develop business plans to deepen relationships in target markets with new client acquisition and retention strategies

Qualifications

  • 15 years industry experience with five years of people leadership experience
  • University degree, College degree or equivalent
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. TEP, LLQP, AMP or CFA designations are an asset
  • MFDA or IIROC licensed through the completion of the Canadian Securities Course(CSC)
  • Strong leadership skills and managerial tact with a demonstrated ability to execute and champion change
  • Strong networking skills and ability to effectively develop relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Expert financial Planning skills and familiarity with financial planning software
  • Polished, professional presenter and effective public speaker with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
